Territory-wide Cluster Meeting: Focusing on the theme of Pollution and Environmental Protection in the English Language Classroom (New)

Descriptionlearn about the work of Plastic Free Seas and the workshops and activities they do in local schools;
learn about the work of Hong Kong Shark Foundation and its HKSF Student Ambassador education programme;
learn about Redress and its online toolkit with curriculum links, class activity ideas, student action ideas and a library of resources for use in the classroom and by students for further research;
learn about an ESF student-led group which (1) encourages identification of environmental issues, solutions and tangible action that can be taken within schools; and (2) promotes local school participation in the Inter-School Sustainability Team;
consider various ways to consolidate students’ learning inside and outside the English language classroom based on the resources and activities of the above organisations and groups.
In this meeting, participants will:
Cluster Meetings provide a platform for:
sharing effective English language learning and teaching strategies;
enhancing collaboration between NETs and other English Panel members;
supporting the implementation of the English Language curriculum in schools; and
promoting communities of learning for ongoing professional development and support.
This workshop is scheduled to take place on a face-to-face basis but may be switched to the ZOOM mode if the ongoing health conditions and regulations change. All registered participants will be notified of any change at least two weeks in advance.
