Description
In this Keys2 workshop, participants will:be provided with an overview of the P5 Keys2 Units;
develop a good understanding of the new reading approach and strategies adopted in P5 including the flipped content;
develop a good understanding of how to support students to apply the reading strategies;
complete practical tasks that help students develop their understanding of the reading approach and strategies introduced; and
develop an awareness of how Keys2 can support school-based curriculum development.
Remarks: All P5 teachers who are new to the programme are required to attend Day 1 and Day 2 of the P4 workshops
Teachers must register on TCS for the workshops
Teachers are required to bring their P5 textbook, school calendar and scheme of work
This workshop is composed of two Zoom meetings, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Participants need to register with their own full name. For information about Zoom meetings, please visit this website: https://zoom.us/
There will also be a self-study component between the two Zoom meetings.
The meeting ID, password and other related information will be sent to participants via email 2-3 days before the workshop.
Please check mail at the email address(es) teachers provided when registered for the workshop.
Teachers need to download a soft copy of the PowerPoint slides provided and if they prefer, they can print a hard copy for reference during the Zoom meetings. The soft copy is available for download from 23 Aug 2022 at: https://nets.edb.hkedcity.net/page.php?p=542
