Description To help teachers:
1) the knowledge of education innovations and pedagogies of the participants will be enhanced so as to be able to apply more effective teaching methods in a small class context.
2) participants will have a better understanding of the six broad principles* of small class teaching, and their competence in lesson design and assessment literacy will be further enhanced so as to optimize the learning and teaching in a small class context.
3) the capacity of the participants in applying self-regulated learning, e-learning tools, and STEM education in a small class environment will be fostered.
4) participants’ pedagogical content knowledge and reflection ability will further be strengthened through practice.
The six broad principles are：(1) clear statement of learning objectives; (2) extended questioning during whole class discussion; (3) more active pupil participation; (4) increased cooperation between pupils by working in pairs and groups; (5) using more informing feedback; (6) more use of the assessment for learning approach
