Description
This course aims to strengthen teachers’ ability to plan, implement and evaluate (PIE) the school-based information literacy (IL) curriculum in whole school approach.

After finishing the course, participants should be able to:
(a) plan, implement and evaluate the school-based IL curriculum in whole-school approach by referring to the “Information Literacy for Hong Kong Students”;
(b) design lessons with IL elements;
(c) help students to use information and information technology effectively and ethically as responsible citizens and lifelong learners;
(d) ring in support services, tools and resources to promote IL;
(e) help students identify potential dangers on the Internet and learn how to evaluate information, and protect their personal privacy; and
(f) help students understand how to tackle with IL related issues.
