In this workshop, participants will:
learn about how to coordinate collaborative writing lessons for a variety of text types, including problem-solution and argumentative essays, in online, blended, and face-to-face lessons;
experience pre-writing activities to prepare for a collaborative essay, including brainstorming ideas on a writing topic and drafting a plan; and
consider how collaborative writing can support students with developing language for academic writing, e.g. academic vocabulary, complex sentences, cohesive devices, in line with current measures to optimise the senior secondary English language curriculum.
Remarks
This is a 4-hour self-paced workshop. You will sign on to Canvas Instructure, study the resources and engage in a range of activities.
The sign-in details for the Canvas workshop will be sent to participants by email on the day the workshop begins, i.e. 21 November 2022.
All the workshop activities must be completed in the given time to acquire the full CPD hours (i.e. 4 CPD hours).
The content of this self-paced workshop is similar to that of the 30 March 2022 workshop (Course ID: CDI020221240). Teachers who enrolled in the previous workshop should not enrol again.
