The course shall help participants achieve the following objectives:
a) Realising their role in enhancing students’ English proficiency through teaching the content of Science Education KLA in English;
b) Identifying the problems which students face in learning the Science Education KLA in English;
c) Presenting and explaining the subject content in English clearly and in a systematic manner;
d) Developing and enhancing strategies and pedagogy in teaching through English, particularly in addressing learner diversity in learning in English;
e) Adopting, adapting and addressing instructional materials to support students’ learning of both the subject content and subject language;
f) Developing awareness, acquiring and strengthening knowledge and skills, in assessing students’ learning (including formative and summative assessments such as assessment for, at and of learning); and
g) Collecting and disseminating good practices of effective teaching of the Science Education KLA in the English medium.

This programme aims to equip primary school teachers with sound knowledge and hands-on practices of e-Learning pedagogies specific for Mathematics and STEAM teaching, and strengthen teachers’ both competence and confidence in delivering and sustaining e-Learning in primary Mathematics curriculum.
On successful completion of the programme, participants will be able to:
• demonstrate an understanding of theoretical underpinnings for realising learner-centered learning in the paradigm of learning and teaching for school education;
• advance knowledge about principles and strategies of pedagogical integration of e-Learning elements for realising learner-centered learning;
• apply knowledge and skills of pedagogical principles and strategies for integrating e-Learning elements into subject-specific pedagogical designs for Mathematics and STEAM education in Hong Kong; and
• strengthen both competence and confidence in delivering and sustaining e-Learning in primary Mathematics curriculum.

The programme aims to allow the primary school curriculum leaders and IT panel chairs/coordinators/responsible teachers to reflect on the value of e-Learning and its alternative role (not replacing classroom teaching) in teaching and learning. It also enables the participants to explore the pedagogies of e-Learning and the current trend of educational technology that can be applied to a number of subjects such as language, mathematics, and general studies.
On completion of the programme, participants should be able to:
• examine the value and importance of e-Learning in teaching and learning;
• analyse the issues concerning the design and implementation of e-Learning in primary schools;
• develop e-Learning pedagogy for a number of subjects in primary school curriculum;
• reflect on the effective practices of e-Learning for as well as the current trend of applying educational technology in primary school education;
• familiarise with the characteristics of latest e-Learning technologies used in teaching and learning;
• adopt proper e-Learning technologies to achieve different educational goals; and
• gain pragmatic skills in integrating the e-Learning technologies into different teaching and learning scenarios.
