This series of workshops aims at equipping in-service teaching assistants serving in ordinary school with necessary knowledge and skills to assist teachers in catering for the SEN of students. Participants will learn the principles and policy of integrated education, and recognize the diverse needs of students. On completion of the workshops, participants should have general understanding of how to assist teachers in supporting students with SEN.

This workshop will explore a range of innovative practices to support and engage SEN students in their English language lessons.
Objectives:
Identify special educational needs in mainstream schools
Introduce the RTI model as an approach to differentiating English learning experiences for students with SEN
Introduce practical strategies and resources that engage and motivate students with SEN to learn English
Provide opportunities for participants to reflect on and share experiences about their students with SEN in the English classroom
